I have charts of various types and sporadically they will not allow me to horizontally scroll to see all of the data points. Refreshing the chart corrects the problem.

For example I may have currentNumberRecords = 60, numdatapointsinview = 20, HScrollBar1.Value = 40 and HScrollBar1.Maximum = 49 and the scroll bar is pegged all the way to the right, I am unable to scroll to the left(scroll bar moves but chart does not), and the chart is displaying the first 20 records in the chart where as when it works the last 20 records in the chart are shown.

I have turned logging on and can see that the contents of the log file are identical to when it works.

Adding a wait of 50 milliseconds between adding each sample seems to help the issue but I would like to solve the root cause if possible.

Thanks in advance,

Sorry, but we are not able to tell what the problem is based on the information provided.

When you say that the problem occurs sporadically, does this mean you cannot reproduce it 100% of the time by using the same chart and feeding in the same data?

Without any delays, how fast are feeding in the data in real-time and are you attempting to scroll while you are also feeding in the data. This is not multi-threaded software, so if want to scroll, you should stop feeding in data and updating the screen.

Can you supply us with a program, either your own or a modified version of one of our examples (BatchVariableControlCharts) which reproduces the problem.

We are using SPCBatchVariableControlChart charts.

What type of SPC chart are you displaying, i.e. SPCTimeVariableControlChart, or SPCBatchVariableControlChart?

If you are using a SPCTimeVariableControlChart, do you have a consistent, fixed, sample interval between your sample subgroups, i.e. which matches the timeincrementminutes parameter passed into the InitSPCTimeVariableControlChart call?

I am using the QCSPCChart SPC Control Chart
Tools for .Net.

Sorry, but there is not enough information in your post to provide any sort of informed answer.

Please specify exactly which of our software products you are using. You are posting under the QCChart2D forum, but it sounds like you may be using the QCSPCChart or QCRTGraph software.
