I'm looking at the SPCChartObjects class and I'm not sure what the property name is for the line that represents the "MEAN". I'd like to be able to display or hide that line when need be.

It is referred to as the SPC_CONTROL_TARGET. For example, to remove the MEAN, (also referred to as the X-BAR, or target line), of an X-BAR R chart, use:

this.PrimaryChart.GetControlLimitData(SPCChartObjects.SPC_CONTROL_TARGET).Enable = false;
