Hi,

I tested my QC application under Rational Purify, and it detected an error on function WGCreatePage (reading a NULL pointer). Even if I profile one of the samples included with Quinn-Curtis, I still got this error.

Is this a real bug or a mistake in the profile tool ??? If it is a real bug, newer versions of QC fix this ???

I'm using Quinn-Curtis 2.5, MSVC++ 5.0 and win2000.

Thanks, and sorry about my english :|

The WGCreatePage method ends up invoking the graph build callback routine, which in turn can contain almost anything, since it is where your user-written graph building code goes. We don't know if it is a real error that can affect the operation of the program, or benign.

We know of no problems like you describe inherent in the WGCreatePage routine in the current Rev. 3.0 version of the software, and that is all we are able to support. We really don't know about Rev. 2.5 since that could be up to 10 years old and was phased out before Windows 2000 existed. Visual Studio 6 would have reported such an error in the current revision of the software and we have never seen it.

If you want to use your software with modern operating systems you really need to upgrade to the current version of either the Charting Tools, or the Real-Time Graphics Tools. The software can be ordered under special pricing from our download ordering system: http://www.quinn-curtis.com/Ordering.htm
