I set the value using this:
yAxisTitle.SetTextRotation(45);

When I display the graph the Y axis titles are not rotated. What can I be missing?

Axis titles can't be rotated. See the answer to the same question under the QCChart2D Charting Tools forum, April 4, 2007.
